About me
I’m a senior studying Fashion Merchandising at Virginia Commonwealth University. I’ve always been interested in fashion and how people use clothing to show their personality and genuine style.
Throughout college, I’ve been learning more about fashion buying, marketing, trends, and the business side of the fashion industry. I’m excited to keep building my skills and to learn more new things about fashion.
I would love to show some of my work, interests, and experiences as I continue to grow and learn in the fashion industry.
Career focus
The career I want to pursue is being a fashion trend forecaster, with a special interest in the psychology behind fashion trends. I am interested in understanding why people are attracted to certain colors, styles, brands, and aesthetics. I want to learn how emotions, social media, culture, and changes in society can influence what people choose to wear and buy. I think understanding the reasons behind these choices can help predict what trends may become popular in the future.
I would like to combine my interest in fashion, psychology, and research in my career. As a trend forecaster, I could study consumer behavior and look at what people are interested in before a trend becomes widely popular. My goal is to understand not only what trends people like, but why they like them and how those choices may shape the future of fashion.
I would describe myself as a creative, curious, and balanced person. Some of my biggest interests are baking, photography, and crafts. I have found a lot of comfort in these things because they are special to me and give me a way to slow down and enjoy something I care about. I like being able to create things with my own hands and put my own personality into them. These hobbies are important to me because they give me a way to express myself and keep me occupied.
I have experience using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create and edit visual content. I use Photoshop for photo editing and digital designs, while Illustrator allows me to create graphics and original artwork. These programs help me turn creative ideas into polished visuals.
